XERO has launched an electric skateboard for the ultimate boy's toy for Christmas. The ‘eBoard' from XERO is the perfect gift for the man who has everything, and looks set to see the latest trend, known as ‘road-boarding' to hit the UK streets this winter‘
Operated by wireless remote control and supported by a safety integrated breaking system, the eBoard accelerates 0-22 mph in 4 seconds to either cruise or go up hill - making public transport a thing of the past!
XERO, the green bike and scooter company, has created the eBoards to combine fun, style and speedy commuting. Dubbed as ‘road boarding', electric skateboarding is great for off road and leisure activities but is also a fast and free way to commute to work.
The eBoards, which come in a stylish, contemporary, sleek wood design and are powered by a light-weight lead acid or lithium battery. The skateboards, which are charged as easily as your mobile phone, are simply plugged into any mains supply and are fully charged in 3-4 hours.
Being fully electric, the eBoards are free from carbon emissions and CO2 gases, do not require a license and naturally are exempt from parking charges, road tax and congestion charges! At only 15kg in weight an eBoard can be ridden to work and carried to your desk, or taken part way on the train or stored in the boot of the car - making it the perfect travelling companion.
The eBoard is the latest in a long line of green vehicles produced by British company XERO. After launching the UK's first retro inspired electric scooter, the ‘Classic', it has since unveiled the innovative Brompton-inspired foldable electric ‘Traveller' bike'.
